Join us at Star Workshops

Star Workshops was originally started by Pauline Brand, the founder of Union Theatre and was revived in 2010 by members of Union Theatre wishing to carry on the tradition. Star Workshops aims to help young people develop skills in all areas of theatre craft, whilst ensuring they enjoy themselves along the way.

Each term we offer weekly workshops, using a musical, play or set of stories as a theme. We have a variety of volunteers who are experienced members of Union Theatre and are extremely enthusiastic. The activities that take place vary from week to week, from a makeup workshop one week, to singing and acting the following week. We welcome a diverse age range from 6-16 year olds.

At the end of each term there will be a presentation morning showcasing some of the work from the past ten weeks. This may include a Star Workshops performance or being part of a full Union Theatre production.

The cost for each workshop is £4.00 per child, which is used to purchase materials for workshops and to cover hire costs. Star Workshops and Union Theatre are both non-profit making organisations.

Workshops take place on Saturday mornings between 10.00am and 11.00am at Christ Church URC
